Join us for this deeply nurturing retreat where you will learn practices to support you exactly where you are in your phase of life, let go of what's no longer helpful, and invite fresh new growth. 

Daily yoga, pranayama and meditation practice, as well creative journaling exercises will guide you to develop your own daily routine you can take home for continued nourishment. Practice will be adapted to allow you to go at your own pace and learn what rhythm works best for your well-being. You'll also have the support of a like-minded community to help you navigate the journey. 

When you stop trying to keep up with your old pace of life and listen to the wisdom within, your life will change in powerful and magical ways. By the end of this retreat you’ll have a 180 degree turnaround for a completely new perspective. Spending time in the jungle has a magical quality of making you see what is important in life. We’ll practice my “Unauthorized Ashtanga” yoga** in the mornings, along with plenty of slow, deep relaxation postures and a thorough introduction to sitting meditation practice. I’ll give you POWERFUL tools to take home so you can make big (or small) changes in your life.

You’ll also get a whole tool-bag full of creative arts exercises and writing prompts to help you discover aspects of your life that need an update. These optional afternoon sessions will be loosely structured to allow you time to sit with your creative projects, with enough guidance to get you started. It’s not about “making art” as much as it is about tapping into creative potential.

**Traditionally Ashtanga is a very vigorous vinyasa style of yoga, however I like to mix things up– alot. So while we will essentially practice a vinyasa style of yoga, we will also include LOTS of restorative and gentle postures for those who need or want that, as well as detailed instructions on key postures. You’ll get alternatives if you want less intensity, or if you want more. You will leave with a take-home practice that works for you.

Join us in Northern Thailand to learn life-saving practices to help maintain balance during challenging or transitional times. We will explore the foundational practices of Ashtanga yoga– asana, pranayama, dristi and bandha — preparing a solid foundation for settling more and more deeply into meditation. Individual guidance will be offered relevant to each practitioner’s particular needs, in order to harmonize body, speech and mind, creating a more conducive internal atmosphere for meditation to arise. We will explore what it means to settle body and mind in order to ripen the fruits of practice: the ability to rest in stillness, spaciousness, stability and silence.

In addition to a daily yoga and sitting meditation practice, we will learn to identify what upsets our equilibrium and how we can best work with obstacles and strong emotions. Writing practice will be incorporated, as well as interactive exercises, in order to call by name influences that undermine our inner harmony. Suggestions will be offered on how to incorporate these practices to encourage a more balanced to daily life and to help us maneuver gracefully through the rough patches.
