Whether you like it or not, you are an agent of change. You affect whatever you come into contact with. You don’t really have a choice about this. What you can choose is what kind of affect you have on those around you.
I never imagined writing a book would be so much work, but now I see that’s just the easy part. Now comes the challenge of finding the right publisher.
When I look at how David Bowie lived his life, I see someone who lived to the fullest, who shared everything he had, who kept on going, and who was not afraid to keep changing with the times. Accepting constant change means letting go, over and over. To me, that is what it means to practice presence and live fully in the moment. This is what it means to live your truth.
Reinventing yourself means breaking the mold, questioning your intentions, dwelling in the dark depths of uncertainty without hope of finding a quick answer. It means looking hard at the recurring themes: the habits that you’ve developed whether consciously or not, that open the door when suffering knocks. The ones that bring you to your knees. Again. There is no system for this, no 10 step practice, no self-help Ted talk, no app that you can download.
