Thai new year (Songkran) is celebrated as a time to let go of past mistakes and undertake new beginnings. Align with your inner wisdom so it can guide you to the next stage of your development. Let this year be the one where you finally drop the bad habits and focus on what really matters to you.
Learning to be fully present–which is aligning with your inner guide– is the key to manifesting this transformation. In this retreat, you will learn practices that train you to do just that. We will explore the foundations of Ashtanga yoga– asana, pranayama, dristi and bandha — preparing a solid foundation for settling into deep meditation. Individual guidance will be offered relevant to each practitioner’s particular needs, in order to harmonize body, speech and mind, creating a conducive internal atmosphere for meditative stabilization. You will experience what it means to settle body and mind in order to ripen the fruits of practice: the ability to rest in a state of silent contentment, so that you can listen to the message of your inner guide.
Each day will be devoted to a different aspect of this process of uncovering inner wisdom:
Day 1: Start where you are—settling into the present moment
Day 2: Developing a relationship with your guide
Day 3: Identifying confusion– where you stray from the path
Day 4: Recognizing obstacles as wisdom
In addition to a daily yoga and sitting meditation practice, you will learn to identify what prevents you from manifesting the life that you want. Writing practice will be incorporated, as well as interactive exercises, in order to call by name influences that undermine your ability to listen deeply to your inner wisdom. When you listen with awareness, then you can hear where your life truly wants to lead you.
Then you can stop struggling and start to enjoy the ride!
